Marriage preparation sessions are provided in a private setting for both traditional and contemporary marriages. This can range from a first marriage, re-marriage, the blending of families, same-sex relationship, cross-cultural unions or other non-traditional partnerships.

The marriage preparation package rate of $450 includes:

customized online couple inventory
comprehensive printed report
couple workbook (2 copies)
4 couple sessions
1 follow up session, at 6-12 months
certificate of completion for your marriage official

Customized Online Inventory - Step 1

The first step to your marriage preparation program is completing a customized online inventory of your relationship. Once you have confirmed your package with the facilitator, you and your partner will complete the inventory separately in the comfort of your own home. The inventory is a collection of reliable scales that help to identify a relationship’s strengths and growth areas.

Feedback Sessions - Step 2

Once you have completed the inventory and sent the results to your facilitator, she will contact you to set up the 4 couple sessions. She will use her skills as a couple therapist in conjunction with the results of the inventory to help you:

explore strengths and growth areas
strengthen communication skills
identify and manage major stressors
resolve conflict using the Ten Step Model
develop a more balanced relationship
explore family of origin issues
discuss financial planning and budgeting
establish personal, couple and family goals
understand and appreciate personality differences

Should you want more than 4 sessions to explore these topics in greater depth, you can always book additional sessions at the regular session rate.

Follow Up - Step 3

An important part of learning any new skills is taking time to practice and integrate them into your life. We allow 6-12 months for this to take place so that you can notice any changes that take place in your relationship as a result of the work you have done in the feedback sessions. The follow up appointment is used to evaluate those changes, identify your challenges, and celebrate your successes.
